Our Friday.....

It was the most wonderful night... We learned so much. Tim Muehlhoff was are speaker. He used comedy with the truth of GOD within our marriages. We have one more session. I'm looking forward tomorrow morning...
This is little insert that I got from the Good Shepard Community church website: the Church we attend....

Tim Muehlhoff—Message to Conferees:
The series I'll be presenting at the conference is based on the simple idea that marriages are a lot like the weather. Some marriages have stable climates, while others are unpredictable. For some couples the climate of their marriage is like living in Southern California—bright sunshine and wonderful predictability. For others, marriage is unpredictable and a lot like living in the Midwest—“If you don’t like the weather, wait a few minutes, it’ll change.” One of biggest mistakes we can make as couples is ignore the climate of our marriage. To ignore our marital climate is to greatly reduce the effectiveness of our communication with each other. In fact, couples ought to place a sign, “Weather Permitting,” over every conversation before it begins. Sometimes the wisest thing a couple can do in a marriage is postpone talking about key issues facing them and, instead, work on improving the general climate within the marriage.
After our time together each of you will be able to take a climate reading of your marriage and develop communication strategies to improve it. The information you’ll hear during the conference comes from the most current research in the area of marital communication, listening skills, empathy, and conflict resolution. All of our sessions will be rooted in the wisdom of the Scriptures. You may be surprised how much the Bible has to say about conflict, forgiveness, empathy, marriage, sexual intimacy, balancing schedules, priorities, and the power of words.
Let’s trust God that He’ll work in our marriages this weekend. FROM: Tim
